~5 min read1 articles

Gifts are products given to customers for free once specific conditions are met, effectively boosting average order value and customer loyalty. This article teaches you how to create, publish, and manage gifts.

Entering the Page

From the left main menu, click "Products", then "Gifts". The page has three tabs: Product Gifts, Store-wide Gifts, and Cart Gifts.

Add-ons vs Gifts

ItemCustomer ActionCustomer Impact
Add-onCustomer pays extra to addRequires extra payment; customer can freely choose whether to add
GiftCustomer gets it freeAuto-included once conditions are met; no payment needed

Differences Between the Three Gift Types

TypeTrigger ConditionSuitable Scenario
Product GiftAuto-given when customers buy a specific productE.g., "Buy this skincare set, get a travel-size kit free"
Store-wide GiftGiven when customers shop (buy any product)E.g., "Spend HK$500, get a premium tote bag"
Cart GiftGiven when customers reach checkoutE.g., "Spend HK$1,000 at checkout, get a skincare sample pack"

Customer-side Display (Gifts)

  • Conditions MetA "Get Now" check-mark prompt appears next to the gift, telling customers it'll be included for free.
  • Conditions Not MetThe gift is grayed out with a hint about how much more is needed (e.g., "Spend HK$200 more to get this").
  • Stock NoticeGifts don't display their stock count separately; if backend stock hits zero, the gift may not be successfully claimed — store owners should review periodically.

Gift Operational TipsGifts are products automatically given to customers when specific conditions are met; customers don't pay separately at checkout. "Product Gifts" must be linked from individual product settings; "Store-wide Gifts" apply across the store; "Cart Gifts" only appear in the checkout flow.
